Over

Aluminium

Aluminium is light, strong and naturally corrosion-resistant. Thanks to these properties, the material is highly versatile — from technical components to visually appealing front panels. At Repos, we work with various types of aluminium, tailored to the intended purpose and the desired finish.

Our range includes anodised ALMG3, ALMG1 (matt or semi-gloss), raw sheets (without an anodised coating) and black anodised aluminium. Each type has its own advantages in terms of machinability, appearance and durability.

Depending on the processing method and application, we use different types of aluminium:

  • ALMG3 anodised – robust and dimensionally stable, ideal for engraving, printing and milling
  • ALMG1 matt – non-reflective surface, suitable for functional and subtle designs
  • ALMG1 semi-gloss – elegant sheen, for a more decorative look
  • Black anodised aluminium – stylish and wear-resistant, perfect for high-end applications
  • Raw sheets (non-anodised) – untreated aluminium, suitable for specific applications such as milling and post-treatment (e.g. powder coating).

Depending on the type of sheet, the aluminium can be printed on, engraved or CNC-milled — always with a focus on dimensional accuracy and finish.

Pros

  • Lightweight and strong
  • Wide range of finishes: matt, semi-gloss, black or untreated
  • Suitable for printing, engraving and milling
  • Wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant (anodised types)
  • 100% recyclable

Drawbacks

  • Unfinished sheets are more susceptible to oxidation without additional treatment
  • Anodised aluminium has a limited colour range (standard and black)
  • Prone to scratching during intensive use without an additional coating
