Using our specialised printing technique, we print images and text directly into the anodised layer of aluminium. During this process, the metal’s pores are open, allowing the ink to penetrate deep into the surface. After sealing, the print is literally locked into the aluminium – resulting in a colour-fast, UV-resistant and wear-resistant finish.
This technique is ideal for applications that need to remain legible over the long term, even under harsh conditions or when used outdoors.
During anodising, a protective oxide layer forms on the aluminium. We can print beautiful images onto this layer whilst it is still open. This is similar to tattooing, as aluminium also has open pores. After printing, the pores are sealed, trapping the ink inside.
Ideal for identification plates or labels featuring unique numbers and text, as everything is printed digitally.
To produce printed aluminium, we use our own high-quality sheet material in ALMG3 grade. It is also possible to have your own aluminium products printed. Examples include small enclosures or milled components.
We can shape the printed products into any desired form, as we work with highly precise milling machines.
